Creating a Comfortable Work Environment

Career Development

Morito has a variety of programs to help employees continuously build their career while keeping their level of satisfaction and motivation up.

Re-employment Program

We have implemented a re-employment program for those who have retired upon reaching retirement age. This program provides opportunities for employees who still want to work to continue their careers.

Employee Stock Ownership Plan (J-ESOP)

J-ESOP grants Morito shares or cash equivalents to their employees who have met certain requirements in accordance with the stock benefit regulations. Each year, Morito employees earn points that are calculated on the basis of their qualifications, target achievement rates, and other factors. Upon retirement, they receive Morito shares or cash through a trust, in the amount equivalent to the value of points they have earned.

Own Goals Program

In order to align an employee’s career plan with the company’s plan, we have implemented a program through which employees self-report to the company regarding their career development plans or life plans and keep it posted every year.

Education and Support

Morito’s basic educational policy is one of “self-growth and self-development.” This policy implicitly conveys a message that each employee should be self-motivated, be the best possible version of themselves, and remain disciplined with a strong desire to fulfill their aspirations. We provide such highly motivated employees with opportunities to develop their abilities, as well as educational and support programs that will nurture their personal growth.

Assessments/Job-specific Educational Programs/Special Training

We provide employees with various opportunities to build on their professional skill foundation. These include assessments that are vital to charting career paths, educational programs designed for employees in different job classifications and grades to improve their business skills, and special training programs for selected employees to develop managerial skills at an early stage in their career.

Support for Taking CASEC Tests

The CASEC is a test of English language proficiency for non-native speakers. Our Employees have an opportunity to take this test once a year.

Rewards Program for Obtaining Qualifications

We offer cash awards to employees who have passed a certifying exam for a qualification deemed by the company to be beneficial to their workplace.

Mentoring Program

This is a program designed to support new employees. Under the program, aside from the supervisor and senior employees in the same department, a senior employee from another department is assigned as a mentor to help guide the new employee during the first year on the job. Career and work advice from mentors can provide new employees with the psychological and social support needed to overcome their anxieties and problems as well as broaden their views and networks within the organization. It also gives the mentor (a senior employee) an opportunity to look back on how they felt when they were first employed and reflect on it. The secondary benefit to the mentoring program is that the mentor can develop skills to guide and train subordinates, as well as re-evaluate their own career path.

Various Seminars

We regularly invite experts to conduct various seminars.
Topics covered in past seminars included preventing insider trading as well as harassment.

Risk Management

We make active efforts to ensure compliance, identify risks, and maintain a system to manage those risks.

Whistleblower Program (Hotline)

We have set up a point of contact for direct consultation and reporting by employees who become aware of acts that constitute compliance violations or acts that may constitute violations.

Anti-harassment Program

We will take strict disciplinary action in accordance with the rules of employment, should any act of harassment be committed by an employee. We also hold regular seminars aimed at preventing harassment.

Safety Reporting System

We have implemented a Safety Reporting System, which can be used via computer or smartphone, to ensure lines of communication between employees and the company remain open in the event of a major earthquake similar to those that have struck Japan in the past. We have mandated that all employees report on their safety status to the company when an earthquake with an intensity of 5+ or greater on the shindo seismic scale strikes any part of Japan.

Disaster Drills and Emergency Supplies

We hold annual evacuation drills along with AED training courses conducted by the fire department. We also provide new employees with emergency supplies (helmets, gloves, emergency food, etc.) at the time of employment.
